3 bank robberies that occurred yesterday afternoon & are believed to be connected.

Our Robbery Unit continues to investigate 3 bank robberies that occurred yesterday afternoon & are believed to be connected.

📍 At approx. 12:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, a man is believed to have entered the Royal Bank of Canada located at 5445 Falsbridge Dr. N.E. The suspect approached the teller, demanded money & threatened employees by saying he was armed. He walked around the counter & took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the bank. No weapons were observed & no injuries were reported.

Approx. 25 minutes later at 12:55 p.m., the same man is believed to have entered the ATB Financial located at 50 Saddletown Cir. N.E., where he once again approached the teller, demanded money & threatened employees by saying he was armed. The suspect walked around the counter, but was unsuccessful in obtaining any money. No weapons were observed & there were no injuries reported.

Five minutes later, at approx. 1 p.m., the man is believed to have entered the CIBC located at 62 Saddletown Cir. N.E. The man walked behind the counter, demanded money from employees & exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries reported.

It is believed the same man is responsible for all 3 incidents.

The suspect is described as approx. 20 to 30 years old, between 5’10” & 6’1” tall, with a light complexion. At the time, he had his face covered & was last seen wearing black gloves, black pants & a dark-grey hoodie.

Investigators continue to collect evidence, speak to witnesses & review CCTV footage.
