Police say they are looking into reports of threats made against the family of one of the victims of the Feb. 10 mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge.
In a statement to CBC News on Saturday morning, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in British Columbia said it is aware of the threats and has launched an investigation.
“A safety plan is in place for the individual(s) and the community as the investigation continues. RCMP officers in the community have connected with the mayor and community leaders to ensure ongoing communication and public safety planning.”
