A months-long drug trafficking investigation has led to the arrest of three men and the execution of multiple search warrants across Peterborough, Ottawa, and Sault Ste. Marie.

The Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit launched the investigation in the summer of 2024, which resulted in arrests in January 2025.

On March 3, officers conducted a vehicle stop and arrested a suspect on drug trafficking charges. Shortly after, search warrants were executed in Peterborough, Ottawa, and Sault Ste. Marie. On March 6, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service carried out an additional search warrant in the city.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized:

635 grams of suspected fentanyl

60 grams of suspected cocaine

$10,000 in Canadian currency

Four cell phones

The three accused face multiple charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The investigation is ongoing.
