ATM fraudster who was recently released from custody.

A guy who was recently released from custody on suspicion of being a serial ABM fraudster is the subject of a public warning from Edmonton police.
According the police, they received four reports of fraud at nearby bank abms between February and September 2024.
In each instance, a man seemed to talk on the phone with his bank regarding problems using the ABM to withdraw money.
Then, according to the police, he went up to bank customers at local abms, told them that he had hit his withdrawal limit or that his account was stopped, and requested a loan for rent or gas.
According to the authorities, he would offer to reimburse the consumers after earning their trust, but they never heard from him again.

According to investigators, the four individuals have lost little less than $2,000 so far.
Tracey Reid, 55, is accused by investigators of four counts of fraud and uttering a false document.
Officers are requesting that anyone who comes into contact with Reid refrain from giving him money because they believe he offers a significant danger of reoffending.

“Reid is known to police and has attended various financial institutions throughout Edmonton and neighbouring communities while committing this fraud,” said Edmonton Police Service Det. Carrie Bosse in a news release on Monday.

“We believe he has taken advantage of many other Good Samaritans, and we encourage them to contact us at their earliest convenience.”

Police say anyone who has been defrauded by Reid can contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
