Authorities in Burnaby have charged one man with assault following a fight that broke out in the corridor of an apartment complex on Saturday night.
Around 10 p.m., Burnaby RCMP officers were dispatched to a complex on the 7200 block of Kingsway for “a report of screams” and a fight, according to an email from a spokeswoman.
After receiving treatment at the hospital, the victim was released. According to the detachment’s statement, the second individual, who was also hurt, is still being held and police will suggest filing charges for “assault-related offences.”
Police remained in the area until Sunday afternoon.
