Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (RCMP SPOSU) are appealing for the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect in a December 29, 2024, shooting in Surrey that injured two people.
This has been an active and ongoing investigation led by the Serious Crime Unit of the SPOSU since it occurred on December 29, 2024. Frontline officers responded to multiple calls from people outside a pub in the 8500 block 132 Street who were reporting that a large fight involving several people had escalated and two men had been shot.
At the time of the incident, police released initial information describing two suspects who left in a dark-coloured sedan. The investigation has led officers to believe that there is one suspect, and police are now appealing to the public to help identify a suspect in the shooting. The suspect is described as a South Asian male, possibly in his 20’s, with black hair shaved on the sides, a moustache and beard, and wearing a black or dark-coloured jacket and shirt.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) are investigating an early morning shooting that happened at 2:30 am on Sunday, December 29 outside a Newton pub that has left two people injured with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 2:30 am on Sunday, December 29, Surrey Police Service frontline officers responded to multiple calls from people outside a pub in the 8500 block 132 Street who were reporting that a large fight involving several people had escalated and two men had been shot.
The victims, both of whom were taken to hospital by bystanders, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Two suspects, described as adult South Asian men, were last seen driving away in a dark-coloured sedan.
