Police request public assistance identifying suspect

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a weapons incident last month.

On February 28, officers responded to the 2100 block of Amalamek Way in Halifax. At approximately 2:45 a.m., a man was in a parking lot when he was confronted by three men not known to him. He was assaulted and then one of the men produced a firearm, but did not use it. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect with the firearm is described as a man wearing black rimmed glasses, a dark green camouflage parka jacket with a fur hood, blue pants, and white and black shoes. Photos are attached.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
