Today, Detective Sergeant Alan Bartlett, of the Homicide and Missing Persons Unit, announced a suspect wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant in the homicide of 43-year-old Lyle Pounall.
On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at approximately 8:04 p.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting in the Sherbourne Street and Queen Street East area.
It is reported that:
- officers arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound
- life-saving measures were commenced
- the victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries
- the victim was pronounced deceased in hospital
The victim was identified as Lyle Pounall, 43, of Toronto.
This is Toronto’s 3rd Homicide of 2025.

Officers have now identified a suspect wanted in this investigation.
Dellano Robertson-Berry, 24, of Toronto, is wanted on a Canada-Wide warrant for:
- Second Degree Murder
The suspect is described as 5’7″ tall, with a medium build. An image of the suspect has been released.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees him, do not approach, and call 9-1-1 immediately.
