The theft is believed to have occurred on February 5, 2025, at approximately 12:45 a.m. at a business on Main Street in Hampton, when an individual entered a business and stole an undisclosed amount of lottery tickets. Before fleeing the scene in a white compact four-door hatchback vehicle, the suspect pepper-sprayed an employee of the store in the face. The employee was treated on scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The individual is described as a man. At the time of the theft, the individual was wearing a camouflage jacket, jeans, and was carrying a black motorcycle helmet.
Police are now releasing surveillance a footage photo of the vehicle, in hopes that someone may recognize it.
